I’m Julie Goodwin, a landscape architect, designer, and artist based in New Bedford, Massachusetts. I am inspired by the many stories places hold and by the people who are allowed, and not allowed, to tell them. I’m a resourceful designer who looks well beyond basic due diligence to understand how culture, memory, power, and everyday life shape a landscape. A fierce devotee of landscape architecture and its roots in egalitarianism and social commentary, I’m driven to make public space more expressive, more generous, and more just.
