I’m Julie Goodwin, a landscape architect, designer, and artist based in New Bedford, Massachusetts. My work is inspired by the many stories places hold and by the people who are allowed, and not allowed, to tell them. I’m a resourceful designer who looks well beyond basic due diligence to understand how culture, memory, power, and everyday life shape a landscape. A fierce devotee of landscape architecture and its roots in egalitarianism and social commentary, I’m driven to make public space more expressive, more generous, and more just.
